My cats will walk across the keyboard and call that typing. One cat, who has since passed on, would pick the top of my notebook keyboard to sleep on, which produced all sorts of hilarious (to her) side effects.

Our cats are the same way. They do type multiple single characters however.

Bo is a cat. A cat is good only when they wish to be. Bo wishes to say that he does not dirty his paws with typing and writing. He dictates his thoughts to his Human, who then writes them into the blog.

Besides, it annoys him that he has no opposable thumbs, although that never stops him when he wants to open the door in the hutch behind which his Temptations are kept.
