Annie

It’s been a while since I posted about Annie.

Even when Annie is lying down, she can assume interesting poses, and look quite cute (at least to my eyes). I’m also trying to capture the subtlety of Annie’s coloration and coat. In spite of being a Labradoodle (cross between a Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle), she’s a combination that is unique unto herself, with her coat of many colors.

She’s now well past six years of age, and her coat is beginning to pick up silver highlights that stand out from her blacker undercoat. She still has the touches of ginger in her muzzle from when she was a puppy.

The photo was taken with my iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the border added using Snapseed.

no april fooling around today

I have no patience for April Fools jokes. I’ve never heard any that were funny. Not one. Instead, for me this was just another first day of another month, this one still in the pandemic. Rather than dwell on that, I’d rather present a few of my creatures for your enjoyment.

I used the Olympus Pen F with the Panasonic Leica 1.4/25mm first generation on three of the four photos. I’ll let you figure out which ones. I have learned that the sweet spot to use the 25mm is f/2, not wide open at f/1.4. Plenty of light gathering, enough depth of field, yet reasonably out-of-focus backgrounds.
