kirk tuck has left the building, again

Exiting yet again.

Kirk Tuck has killed a second blog in succession (that I know about). This was the blog he created after closing down Visual Science Lab. I captured this final post last Tuesday before traveling out to Denver. If you go to his site now, all it says is that the blog has indeed been deleted.

While boredom with the current state of photography might indeed be the primary reason for his abandoning his latest blog, it might also be due to having to constantly put up with the trolls and other assholes that have plagued his comments section (and other sections, too). I can certainly understand wanting to get away from all of that. I don’t seem to have that problem here, which is an indication that perhaps my corner in the blog-o-sphere is boring as hell to others. Oh well.

Kirk does have a spot on Instagram for posting his photography, but I’m going to come to a parting of the ways over that. I’m off the major social media platforms and don’t intend to go back to any of them, for anyone.

kirk tuck has retired

Kirk Tuck has (mostly) retired, and in the process has taken down his old Visual Science Lab blog. I’ve know of Kirk for a good long time, going back to when I was transitioning to Olympus four thirds and then into micro four thirds. It was Kirk’s blog that I enjoyed reading as he was/still is kinda a working professional photographer. He didn’t just talk about hardware, he talked about how to be a photographer by using said hardware. Over the years he touched every major manufacturer, and wasn’t shy about strengths and weaknesses about everything that came his way.

If you want to still follow Kirk you can read his new blog over on https://groundzeroart.blogspot.com .
