youtube voter propaganda

I know what I wrote a year ago about NoTube November, and how I was dropping YouTube. But I’ve gone back into YouTube right now to follow some of the channels I trust in order to supplement my information collection of the general election. While slumming around the various YouTube offerings I started to see “fraudulent voter registration” stories from several states around the country, in particular from “swing states” and most notably from Pennsylvania. I did not sit through the entirety of any of the videos, but I did skim enough to see that most of the videos were about a few so-called “crimes,” and that they only seemed to involve a few thousand. Not near enough to cause any kind of outcome changes against the millions who have voted and will vote on election day in November.

These reports have all sorts of smells about them. Three of the most smelly:

  • The numbers are just large enough to get someones attention.
  • The number is even at 2,500.
  • They’re showing up right before 5 November in critical states.

My personal conspiracy theory is this: the “reports” have all the earmarks of a “false flag” operation being conducted by a far right group in support of Trump’s “the vote is rigged!” claims, which his group will then attempt to use in order to call all the votes into question.

Do I think. this will effect the election? No. The Magats will certainly try, and they may even throw enough sand in the gears to slow things up a bit, but they are all doomed to fail. And we will succeed in spite of all their efforts.

vote update

Excellent turn around on my wife’s and my 2024 general election ballots. The completed ballots were dropped off on Saturday (26 October) at an early polling place. When I checked on Monday, ballot status was at step 2, having been sent out. Early this morning I found that both had been counted.

I should note that early voting this year is exactly two weeks, having started 21 October and ending 3 November. This is shorter than in the past. I should also note that when I went to drop off our ballets that the early voting location, a library, was packed, and required several people to coordinate parking in the parking lot, which was full. Interest in this year’s general election, at least in my corner of Orange County, is extremely high.

Please vote, vote early, vote legally, and vote Blue all up and down the ballet. We did.
