This election is about getting rid of Trump. Period.
There is no other greater reason, no other stronger motivation to vote this year, than to make him a one-term president. He should have never been nominated, let alone elected in the first place, but he was, by very slim margins, by goosing the electoral college with help from fellow Republicans.
His latest abuse concerns the US Post Office. He won’t properly fund it because he doesn’t want it used, during a pandemic, to allow ballots to be mailed out and returned, especially for 3 November.
My wife and I already use mailed out ballots to vote, and have for years. We have another election cycle for local officials this Tuesday, and for the past two weeks leading up to election day we’ve also had early elections. Long before coronavirus we were having the ballots mailed to us, where we’d fill them out at home, then seal them up in their envelop and drop them off at an early polling station. We did the same thing Saturday, and when November arrives, we’ll do the same thing again. In all the years we’ve participated in this form of voting we’ve never had any problems, or threats of problems — until now.
We need to vote him out of office, along with every other Republican who has enabled him. There’s quite a few targets here in Florida, starting with our governor and our two current senators. I have high confidence that unless something truly monstrous is tried by Trump, we will persevere. We have got to get him out and clean up mess he’s made over the last four years her in America and around the world.
