a slow rainy day in florida

Today turned out to be an all day rainy day in central Florida in spite of what all the iOS weather apps forecast. So I spent a good portion of the day just sitting in my lounger, giving my left knee a rest, with a blanket over my lap. As soon as I placed that blanket across my lap the various household felines came up to snuggle on my blanketed lap and get rubs and scritches. Which elicited a constant stream of purrs, both heard and felt.

A very low energy day to be sure, but satisfying none-the-less.

Danï, along with her dilute Tortie sister Zoë, passed the four-year-old mark back on St. Patrick’s day, and four years living with their humans back in May. With her forepaws pressed together at the “fingers” and that sublime expression, she looks like some monk-like creature contemplating existence from the comfort of the kitchen office chair. Cats (and dogs) are eternally fascinating creatures.

Photo was taken with a Panasonic G9.2 and and Olympus M.Zuiko 1.8/75mm lens. The G9.2 was set to the Like709 Photo Style (color). That style and the Leica Monochrome are turning out to be two of my favorite settings.
