I’m on Bluesky. I love being on Bluesky. One reason I love being on Bluesky is because it’s very much flying below the radar. Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning to find that Bluesky is the #1 most popular app on the App Store. Right above Threads. What I find really amazing is that while Bluesky has just recently hit 15 million users, Threads in second place has over a magnitude more users, not to mention that Threads is another property of Meta/Facebook.

In case you’re interested (and I’m pretty sure you’re not) I don’t want a Threads account. Ever.

A lot of folks have been deleting their X accounts since the election, and a lot of them have been showing up on Bluesky and Threads.

Just out of curiosity, let’s see where the X app is.

X (formerly Twitter!) is riding at 28th spot.

I hope that Bluesky continues to be the nice place it currently is. My only other social media spot is Mastodon, and it’s something of a shambles compared to Bluesky.
