I’m not surprised that it happened. It lowers even further my general low opinion of Amazon. I got my cancellation email today. Here’s what it said:
Due to a lack of availability, we will not be able to obtain the following item from your order. We’ve canceled the item and apologize for the inconvenience. If you see a charge for the canceled item, we will refund you within 1-2 business days. If you are still interested in purchasing this item, it may be available from other sellers. Please visit the detail page for this item below.
I won’t try to reorder it. I’m done following this from Amazon, both from a technological and a consumer point of view.
I got 2 emails. First like yours canceling Deepracer. Second one a day later saying it was a mistake and my order was reinstated with the same order date. When I asked where in the queue I was, they got defensive and just said I’d get an email when it ships. You’d think they were the same company? No relation here.

The same thing happened to me. See my next post. But who knows what they’re trying to do there? They come across as a bunch of clowns.
