aftermath

Under “normal” circumstances I would have published my Friday Funnies on Friday and a Caterday post today. But the end-of-week SCOTUS decisions have left me stunned and considering all my currently legal citizen options. For the historical record, here’s what I captured this past week from my iPhone while reading the news.

And that’s a very, very small sampling from Friday’s SCOTUS decision. That overshadowed an equally horrific SCOTUS decision to strike down New York’s limits on personal gun open carry on Thursday.

Coming right up behind them earlier in the week were the “leftover” issues, such as blatant racism and the big lie that incited January 6 2020.

For me, this last week has been horrific, to the point of being overwhelming and wanting to push me into a corner where the world can’t intrude. But intrude it does, from global warming to how my two daughters will be effected by both horrific SCOTUS decisions. I’m fighting for the future on so many fronts against those who would drag us back into a darker, more fascist time: the middle twentieth century.

  1. Next up: US Supreme Court rules slavery legal in any state that wants it. (Since the defense of anti-choice legislation is based on the 10th Amendment; the same one used to justify the continuation of slavery prior to the 13th Amendment.)
