This is Bo. He was outside in the screened-in area after the sun had set, illuminated with nothing more than the fading after-light. I went out with my Olympus Pen-F and M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.2 PRO, with the lens wide open, and took this photograph.

The ease with which I was able to capture an image such as this under these circumstances is why I purchased this lens and this body. Under very dim lighting I was able to nearly instantly focus and obtain a quite reasonable image. I didn’t get the lens for the bokeh, I got it to use for it’s ability to come away with great images in very low light, wide open. The 17mm PRO excels at images wide open to f/1.2. I can’t believe just how powerful this combination of lens and body are. The Olympus micro four thirds system, with the right combination of lens and body, is a superb photographic instrument that’s just absolutely fun to use.
