This weekend was an eventful weekend for me as a father, a geek, and a husband.

Friday the 19th was my youngest daughter’s birthday.

Saturday was the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s landing on the moon.

And today was my 35th wedding anniversary. I really am happily married, and amazed that my wife has put up with me as long as she has. My life would have been a lot harder, and very empty, without her and the two girls we parented. She has effortlessly taught me so much as a man, a husband, and a father. I love her very much indeed.

I’m simply noting those events here. I might have something more to write about later in the week. But right now it’s the end of day of our 35th wedding anniversary, so I’ll just leave it at that.
