Actually, their vocalizations are very complex. Nicholas goes around calling out (I kid you not) a vocalization that sounds like “Hello?” as he seems to be looking for his clowder mates. Joan chirps when she finds a toy to play with, as do her two kittens. Their variety of vocalizations are at times amazing. Very seldom to I hear a “meow.”
